Bernard (or Bern.a.rdine) of Bologna (Froviano Tosetit), Friar Minor Capuchin and Scotist theologian, b. at Bologna, 17 December, 1701; d. 19 February, 1768. Besides this work Bernard wrote an elementary treatise on philosophy according to Duns Scotus entitled “Institutio ∗Philosophica praemittenda theologize” (Venice, 1766), and a treatise on dogmatic theology, “Institutio Theologica’? (Venice, 1746). He is also the author of a “Phrasarium S. Scripture” composed for the use of preachers and authors.
