- The five Mystagogic Lectures only (printed pp. 144-157, Lectures XIX-XXIII). The same volume's eighteen lectures to those preparing for Baptism are a separate work and are not part of this text. Lecture n here is the edition's Lecture 18+n, and section numbers are Gifford's as printed, restarting in each lecture. Each lecture opens with its scripture lesson as the edition prints it. One manuscript adds "and of John the Bishop" to the title of the first lecture (Gifford's note); the edition prints all five as Cyril's, and so does this text. Transcribed from the CCEL ThML of NPNF2-7, whose integrity was checked against the dated 1894 scan before this build and found complete. The work's own text only. Gifford's notes are not transcribed; where a note is nothing but a scripture reference identifying the passage Cyril quotes, that reference is kept as a link at the note's position; one such note is misnumbered in the print ("1 Pet. v. 9" in Lecture 1, section 10) and is linked to the verse actually quoted, 1 Peter 5:8. Five readings in which the CCEL text departs from the 1894 print (among them "aught against time" for "aught against thee" in Lecture 5, section 3) are corrected to the print.
