“Pseudo-Chrysostom” is the conventional scholarly and ecclesiastical label for works transmitted under the name of Saint John Chrysostom that are not accepted as authentically his. The most important example for the Catena Aurea is the Opus Imperfectum in Matthaeum, an incomplete ancient Latin commentary on Matthew.
